Stace worked this past weekend on installing the under the cabinet lighting and resurfacing the cabinets.  We can't afford to buy all new so we are re purposing what is here!  He is putting beadboard on them and trimming them out.  We will then paint them a really pretty milky white.  I am loving the look!  He got almost all the lower cabinets and drawers done and will work on the uppers this coming weekend.
The littles and I decided to try out our new "KitchenMaid" Sadie.  We gathered all the ingredients for white chocolate cupcakes with peppermint butter cream frosting.
I am no Andie Lofy of Ditzie Cakes.  I wish I had her recipes!  I was not to thrilled with this recipe but the kids did a lot of the work.  Many ingredients and many steps later we finally had some delicious eats!  The boys loved making them and eating them is their favorite part!  I look forward to trying some better recipes with less steps next time!
Got lots to still accomplish in our little estate here, but little by little we will get it done!
I got Trenton registered in school today and he will start after the Christmas Break on January 4th.  The little guys have one full day and one half day till they are off on break.  They are excited about Christmas and I just can't wait for it to be over.
They keep saying things like "Oh, we are out of toothpaste!  Ask Santa for some!" and "Hey Mom!  maybe Santa can bring you some groceries and toilet paper since you say that is what we NEED!"  I am trying to drive the point home that there are things we NEED in life and things we WANT.  Not sure if that message is getting through!
No kids, there is no Santa and he is NOT bringing mom food and T.P.!  I would get really excited if he did bring me a years worth of laundry soap and fabric softener sheets!  Weird, I know - but I am SO loving doing my laundry in my OWN machines!
Taylor turning 21 has brought a host of challenges that we feared.  I am not very happy with the choices he is making right now involving the consumption of alcohol.  He does not respect my wishes or our rules in the home and this is causing a lot of tension.  I am praying that he will not spiral downward once again...not sure if I can take any more.
On a lighter and colder note there is freezing rain and snow in the forecast for tonight.  The boys are wishing that they wake up to a snowy yard.  We will see!
Until tomorrow...
XOXO
Janean
