I love it when I try something new and it works! Not that I have never tried Goof Off - just not on pottery or ceramics! I decided to start collecting Aqua Ceramics and Pottery. I can't afford some of the really "Collectable" brands so I am just looking for great finds in the Thrift Stores and on eBay. I picked up a couple of pieces for a great price and they were a bit dingy, dirty and lacking the luster that I desired. I washed them up in the sink to no avail. Then I decided to try GOOF OFF. Wow! What a difference! They look sparkly and beautiful!
I figured I had nothing to lose! I am glad I tried it. Little by little I will find interesting pieces in this shade and put them on a shelf in my kitchen. It is fun to hunt for these pieces and great when you find them at a steal!
Tomorrow the Little Boys will start school. They will ride on a bus for the first time! They go 8:20pm to 4:20pm! I don't know what I will do with a WHOLE day! Amazing! We got just a few of the supplies on the list at Walgreens tonight. Tomorrow I will head to Wal Mart for the rest.
It is quite the list! I take Trenton to the High School with his transcripts to see when and where he will go.
Stace started his new job at Jericho Home Improvements today. He had a great day! He will work hourly for the first 90 days at $15 an hour. He will then go to piece work and work by the job. BAD part is he will not get a paycheck for THREE weeks! Eeeeek! That is not till the 1st of Jan. I am not sure what we will do to get by till then! We will just have to pray! God has lead us this far - He won't leave us now!!
In 2 short days Taylor will be turning 21. I am both nervous and excited for him. With his history I am not real happy at the thought of him being able to legally purchase alcohol. I just pray this is not a Pandora's box. I can't believe this day has arrived - my "baby" turning 21. {sniffle, sniffle} Man I am getting OLD!
I got the pleasure of cooking my first real meal in my kitchen! Sitting down at the table to eat as a family is proving to be a joy. Taylor jumps in each night to set the table and help me cook. Trenton clears and loads the dishwasher with Trevan's help. Well, as for Turner - he is usually the last one finished! He just has no appetite. He lost SO much weight being sick we are trying to fatten him up! He needs a Winter layer of fat to keep warm!
Well tomorrow is a big day - starting school. I better get to bed so I can get everyone up, fed, dressed, packed and out for the bus in the morning!
XOXO
Janean
